LOTS OF IDEAS COMING:

Old Cherokee Tale
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all.
"One is Evil - It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

"The other is Good - It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Bugles: Shaped like a cornucopia or Horn of Plenty, a symbol of our nation's abundance.

This beautiful table came from Sister Glenda Ashley in Palestine Texas..She made the chair covers and had them imprinted with the symbol and lodge number, many hours of sewing, but the effect was rewarding as they matched the tablecloths perfectly. She used the glass blocks and She used our blue plastic square and trowels and Masonic ribbon and little gavels and such, but the way she put them all together is just beautiful. They had a huge turn out for her handsome husband's Installation, Brother William T. Ashley and his photo is on our Photo's of customers Pages.Great job Glenda and thanks for sharing with us.

This cute Christmas Idea came from Sister Connie Bird. She made the darling Christmas stockings, then put our little red pin on each one, and filled with peppermint sticks, tooo cute!

This one came from Sister Pamela Brown. She made the centerpieces for Grand Session. Some of the things she did, you have to look for, like the tiny gavels we sell in the 5 colors..she painted a wooden stick and glued a blue gavel to the top of it,for the blue arrangement, and did the same with the other ones. She got so many compliments on her wonderful ideas. We love to see creative ideas like this. Thank you Sister Pamela!

We have lots more, this is just a tiny sample..

This really cute invitation came from a dear friend Sister Ginger Kilbreth, who is WM now and she made so many really cute things that we will try over the next few weeks to add more to this page. This one is one of her invitations. She had Gingerbread as one of her symbols and she put the gummed Star sticker on the corner, put a spacer there and put one on top of it, so it has that 2 dementional effect. The gingerbread at the corner looks good enough to eat and is only a sticker. Cute ideas. She used lots of the imprinted ribbon we sell for added special touches to all her paper items.

This next idea came from Kathy Williamson and her mom. They made these really cute dragonfly's for a table favors, and Bookmarkers, just too cute, especially if you like to read like I do. She also has a cute website HTTP://WWW.PUFFINCENTRAL.COM so check that out as well. She and her mom are in Maine and do lots of crafts for Star and things.

She said they are simple to make using the charms that have the loop on the underside of the dragonfly and tie ing the five color ribbon to it and then adding a bean at the end of each strand..
I think I will try one with a longer piece to hang from the fan and add the little bells to the end of each one as I love wind chimes, but this one goes to my daugher since she loves dragonflies..Thank you Kathy and give your mom a hug for us. It is so nice to share with others to help us make each meeting special.

TIME FOR HALLOWEEN!!

or HARVEST FESTIVAL..ALL USE PUMPKINS..

We received this new website from Sister Marissia Lara-Ojeda from California. This one has downloadable Templates to carve your pumpkin' and lots of cool links..check it out..
http://www.ehow.com/halloween/templates.html

This is a cute handout for Halloween:

Print this little poem on a file card and stick a Candy Kiss to it..

There are witches in my Chapter
What am I to do?
I found them there this morning, doing things they shouldn't do!!
How the witches got there, I haven't got a clue.
But they won't be there much longer because I'm sending them to YOU!!!!!!
You've been Witch Kissed!
Before the warts begin to spread, pass the kisses on instead!

This is especially cute if you are a Christian..if you "carve" a pumpkin for your Sunday School Class or have grandchildren, this is so special!

I am a Jack O' Lantern
My light will shine so bright
For I am a Christian pumpkin
My symbols tell what's right.

My nose is like the cross
on which our Savior died
To set us free from sin
We need no longer hide.

My mouth is like a fish
The whole wide world to show
That Christians live in this house
And love their Savior so!

The story starts at Christmas
My eyes are like the star
That shone on Baby Jesus
And wise men saw from far

My color it is orange
Just like the big bright sun
That rose on Easter Day
Along with God's own Son.

And so on Halloween
Let's set our pumpkins out
And tell the trick or treaters
What God's love is all about!

  • We are "Nuts" about our Mason's

    ITEMS YOU WILL NEED:
  • tiny brown sacks..usually available at any hardware store in the nail department.
  • Peanuts in the shell..if you have an Atwoods, they usually have most of these items.
  • some metal nuts- also available in the smaller harware stores
  • Jute -twine--thin Sisel Rope---men are not too fond of fancy ribbon..
  • Type out this small note to glue on the sack
  • Glue, or my favorite, Glue dots..

We're NUTS? : Small Brown paper bag.
Fill with Goobers (peanuts in the hull) and a note that says:

We're NUTS about our ___________________( fill in blank with
( Masons, Charter Members, Pro-Tems, etc.) We (put in a picture of a red heart) you at __________Chapter # ______, 1-15-99 Bubbles Galore, W.M. & Whiskers Galore, W.P.

    **** ***
This also works with Mason jars... We made up Mason jars, which are in plenty supply everywhere right now, filled them full of goobers (peanuts in the shell) made a burlap in the different colors of red and blue etc..most fabric stores have all colors, put the lid on it and ring and tied jute around them and hung a tag that said we are nuts about our Masons...they are cute..or you can fill with kisses and such..just make it kind of manly********

Cut the note out with old pinking shears. (ladies, never use pinking shears to cut both cloth and paper, it makes them very dull, use and mark them for each job-I have found many dull pair at garage sales that are too dull for cloth but work beautifully for paper--or the craft store has all kinds of fancy scissors now for paper work)
Glue it to the front of the sack. (OR GLUE DOTS) Fill with goobers - not so full that you can?t tie it shut. Tie the top shut with twine and glue pretty hearts on the two ends of the twine after you have tied it shut. For guys, glue on a small nut (metal) on each end.

(NOTE): You might say, ?Our little token gift tonight is to let you know how we really feel about you. ....We would just like to say ? You?re Nuts...? . ?.OH NO.?..I meant to say...We?re NUTS.....No, no, I mean ...we?re nuts....about you!?

This cute idea comes from Sister Linda Ewen in South Carolina. Sister Linda made these place cards, they are so cute on the table..this idea she came up with could be used in so many different ways, but we will just talk place cards here.

She made the little card , this one has my name on it,but it could say anything, Bible Verse, WM's Name and Occasion, such as Installation of Officers, several lines, etc..

All place cards are a tent..this one is 3 inches long and about 1-3/4 inches tall. She folded the card lengthwise, which makes it stand by itself on the table... and then affixed one of our gummed (1) One inch stickers to it, then to make it special, she went back and cut around the top two points of the Star so the star stands up..makes it sooo cute, so simple and darlin'.

This is a really cute idea and we thank her for it..for a larger project you could use our 2 inch size gummed Stars as well.
Thank you for sharing this with us Sister Linda!!

We welcome all ideas that you wish to share..please send to me over e-mail and include your name, Chapter/lodge name and number and location so we can give you credit..if you wish your e-mail added to "chat" with other Stars, please tell me that as well and we will add it..unless I am told to add that, I WILL NOT..
